According to Leslie Péan, corruption in Haiti goes beyond the isolated acts of corrupt individuals; it is deeply embedded in the country's socio-political and economic fabric, inherited from a long history of colonial domination, social inequalities, and foreign interventions [1]. We attempt here to add to this analysis by using a quantitative approach based on structured text analysis, with the results made available online through a Shiny application. The application provides interactive tools to explore and analyze corruption data by political figure and location, offering insights into historical trends and the geographical distribution of corruption in Haiti [2].
